‍Alexandre Junca, a 13-year-old child, disappeared on June 4, 2011, was murdered!!

‍On Saturday, June 4, 2011, around 10:50 p.m., Alexandre Junca—born on August 4, 1997—disappeared in Pau while cycling back to his father’s home after attending a party. Surveillance footage captured a final trace of him alive when he was just 200 meters from his destination.

‍His bike was found the next day, tied to a pole near his father's home.

‍Alexandre would have celebrated his 14th birthday on Thursday, August 4, 2011.

‍But two months earlier, a murderous hand took the child's life, tearing him away from the love of his parents, his family, and his loved ones.

‍April 6, 2013: After nearly two years of discreet investigation, the police arrested the killers.

‍

‍They are three social outcasts—Mickaël Baehrel, 25 (the murderer), Mike Bonnet, 26, and Fatima Ennajah, 47 (Mickaël Baehrel’s partner)—along with a 74-year-old man, Jean-Claude Ducos, who lived in a village in Béarn (he helped dispose of the body).

‍They have been placed under formal investigation on very serious charges:

‍"Having, between June 4 and June 26, 2011, caused the death of Alexandre Junca with premeditation and under aggravating circumstances involving acts of torture and barbarity, and having—as part of an organized gang—abducted, detained, and held the young man captive for more than seven days starting on June 4, 2011, all with the aggravating circumstance that the victim was a minor under the age of fifteen."

‍June 6, 2014: Three years after the incident, another man was arrested and taken into custody—Christophe Camy, who triggered this monstrous act by attempting to steal Alexandre's mobile phone.

‍June 7, 2016: The trial of his killers begins. Revelations that are at times almost unbearable to hear. Defendants who change their stories, suffer lapses in memory, and add new details to their statements. A stubborn, obstinate man, JC Ducos, who refuses to admit his clearly evident involvement. A woman, F. Ennajah, who frequently rambles incoherently. And worst of all, M. Baehrel confesses during a hearing that the teenager did not die instantly—as he had previously maintained—but that he had actually finished Alexandre off with hammer blows after the boy regained consciousness, because he could not stand the sound of his crying...

‍• Fatima Ennajah is sentenced to 3 years in prison for "failure to report a crime."
